The Situation

A Shutdown Window That Couldn’t Move

A warehousing and logistics client required full end-to-end delivery of a 48V motorised pallet conveyor system covering mechanical installation, electrical integration, commissioning, and project management, all within a strictly defined shutdown window. Conventional gravity-fed roller systems could not handle the light pallet application, making a purpose-built motorised solution the only viable option. Leslie Electrical Services was engaged as the single contractor responsible for the entire scope: mechanical installation, electrical integration, commissioning, on-site project management, and direct client liaison. There was no split scope between trades, no handoffs, and no gaps in accountability.

What We Delivered

Single-Contractor Delivery, Start to Finish

Took full ownership of all on-site works including mechanical installation, electrical integration, project management, and direct client liaison as the single point of accountability

Designed, constructed, and factory-tested a custom control panel prior to mobilisation, fully compliant with AS/NZS 3000 and AS 4024

Mobilised to site on a public holiday to meet the shutdown deadline without compromise

Adapted in real time when the site layout differed from the agreed CAD design, redesigning cable containment and emergency stop routing on site, obtaining end-user approval, and proceeding without programme impact

Installed a full-length emergency stop pull-rope lanyard with EDM-monitored safety relay integration

Programmed and commissioned all Interroll Multi Control Cards using ZPA software, completing full functional testing and formal handover

The Result

Delivered On Time, To Specification

A fully compliant, operational pallet conveyor system delivered within a one-week shutdown window, on time and to specification. Leslie Electrical Services demonstrated what a capable, single-contractor approach looks like in practice: adapting to real-world site conditions, absorbing scope that others would hand off, and getting the job done without excuses. The client received a safe, commissioned system ready for immediate use, and the confidence that comes from working with a contractor that shows up, solves problems, and delivers.
